Launch of Our Singapore Office as the First Step in Global Expansion

With a view to SHAPE Partners’ global expansion, we have opened our first overseas office in Singapore, the hub of the Asian market.

SHAPE Partners is a strategy professional firm that began full-scale operations in January 2023, primarily composed of former members of leading global strategy consulting firms. Since our founding, we have worked across a wide range of industries including consumer goods, entertainment, sports, healthcare, and media, focusing on themes such as business strategy, marketing strategy, new business development, and organizational development.

As our first overseas base, we have established SHAPE Global Partners in Singapore. The name reflects our aspiration to help shape the future of both Japanese companies and local organizations from Singapore, a hub for Asia and global markets.

Background of the Singapore Office Launch

Singapore is an increasingly important region for Japanese companies as a gateway to both Asian and global markets. We see particular potential for Singapore to play a key role in bringing Japanese content to the world, especially in the entertainment and sports industries.

By establishing a base in Singapore, SHAPE Partners will support Japanese companies and organizations in strengthening their overseas businesses, while also assisting local companies and organizations in entering the Japanese market. Through these efforts, we aim to serve as a bridge between Japan, Asia, and the global market.

Eisuke Tanaka, Principal at SHAPE Partners, has been appointed as the local lead for the Singapore office. Working in close collaboration with our Japan office, he will contribute to the continued growth and success of our clients.

Eisuke Tanaka

Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo. After studying abroad at Stanford University and Nanjing University, Tanaka joined Boston Consulting Group. He has worked extensively with organizations across a wide range of industries in Japan and overseas, including government agencies, sovereign wealth funds, telecommunications, advertising, home building, and semiconductors. His experience includes mid-term management planning, business strategy, M&A strategy, human resources strategy, and digital transformation initiatives. Tanaka joined SHAPE Partners in 2023 and currently leads projects primarily in entertainment, sports, and consumer goods.
Eisuke Tanaka Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics. After studying abroad at Stanford University and Nanjing University, he joined Boston Consulting Group. He handled numerous projects in areas such as mid-term management plan formulation, business strategy, M&A strategy, HR strategy, and DX for a wide range of domestic and international companies and organizations across various industries, including government agencies, sovereign wealth funds, telecommunications, advertising, house builders, and semiconductors. He joined SHAPE Partners in 2023 and primarily leads projects in the entertainment, sports, and consumer goods sectors.
