Many consulting firms operate under a revenue-first approach.
In principle, the value an organization seeks to deliver to society should come first, with scale serving as a means to support and extend that value. In practice, however, this order is often reversed, with organizational growth taking precedence over value creation.

In many consulting firms, work is treated primarily as a series of tasks, and professionals are often managed as interchangeable resources.
As a result, individuals with distinct perspectives, motivations, and strengths are frequently treated uniformly under the label of “consultant,” rather than being differentiated as professionals with individual capabilities and intent.
We take the view that meaningful value is created when individual intent and conviction are acknowledged and reflected in how work is defined and delivered.

In practice, however, many engagement models prioritize organizational continuity and fixed roles, which can limit flexibility in how professionals apply their time, expertise, and judgment.
