COO Komamiya Appointed as Advisor to the Japan Future Sports Promotion Association

Takehiro Komamiya, COO of SHAPE Partners, has been appointed as a Strategic Advisor to the Japan Future Sports Promotion Association (JFS)
The Japan Future Sports Promotion Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for children and families who face barriers to participating in sports. JFS provides sports equipment free of charge to children from single-parent households, households receiving public assistance, and child welfare facilities.
In recent years, JFS has expanded its initiatives to include the development of second-career support programs for athletes, as well as broader efforts to increase sports participation and address social challenges within the sports ecosystem.
How the Advisory Appointment Came About
The appointment stems from a longstanding personal connection between JFS Representative Director Ogawa and COO Komamiya, who were contemporaries in the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League during their university years. After reconnecting through mutual acquaintances following graduation, the two agreed to collaborate in an advisory capacity.

Going forward, SHAPE Partners will primarily support the launch and development of athlete second-career programs, providing assistance in business strategy formulation and execution.
