COO Komamiya Appointed as Advisor to the Japan Future Sports Promotion Association

SHAPE Partners COO, Mr. Komamiya, has been appointed as a Strategy Advisor for the Japan Future Sports Promotion Association (General Incorporated Association).
The Japan Future Sports Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as "JFS") is an organization that provides free equipment to children from single-parent families, families receiving public assistance, and children's homes, aiming to create an environment where children and families who want to play sports but cannot, are able to do so.
In recent years, JFS has also been working more broadly on initiatives to increase the athletic population and solve social issues in sports, including launching a business to support the second careers of athletes.
Background to the Appointment
The collaboration came about because JFS Representative Director, Mr. Ogawa, and SHAPE Partners COO, Mr. Komamiya, were peers while belonging to the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League in university. After graduation, they reconnected through an introduction, which led to the decision to collaborate in the capacity of an advisor.

Going forward, Mr. Komamiya will primarily support the formulation and promotion of business strategies, focusing on the launch of the second career support program for athletes.
